CANCELATION POLICY AND GENERAL INFORMATION

www.privatetoursgreece.com represents a legally purchased and maintained domain name selected to describe the services offered on these pages. In no case should this domain name be misconstrued as being the registered name of a company or agency, Greek or International.
All services offered here are provided by established companies and enterprises registered in Greece and the EU, which fully comply with local and European governing legislation. Services, as well as all texts and information contained here, remain the property of their rightful owner/s and provider/s and all their affiliate/agent companies. Passengers are always protected by public liability transportation insurance, which is mandatory in Greece for all licensed transportation companies.
Please be aware that during your participation in tours and transfer services, certain risks and dangers may arise beyond our control. We will not be liable for any accident or injury sustained by the client by any third party, in whatever way this may be caused. For this reason, we recommend that all clients be adequately insured before traveling abroad. The latter is usually a prerequisite for most tour operators, who reserve the right to deny travel when proof of insurance cannot be provided.
(If interested, we can provide you with information in cooperation with the largest insurance companies in Greece).
Clients are responsible for having or contracting their own personal insurance policy. We will not be liable for damage, loss, or other irregularity that occurs to personal items clients decide to carry during the tour. Clients are responsible for choosing a trip that suits their abilities, fitness level, and mental health. It is good for us to know physical or other limitations by email before the service booking.
Please first send us your request with all the specifics required so we can send you suggestions and prices. If you have any special requests or preferences, please also mention them. You will not find final or fixed prices displayed for the tours we offer because prices vary according to group size, type of vehicle, season, type of accommodation, etc. 
You can book any Tour as suggested on our site or customize one to suit your needs with the assistance of our experienced tour operators. We require a 30% deposit from our customers to secure their reservation. This deposit is paid via PayPal, Credit Card, or Bank Transfer. The balance is payable in cash in euros or through Bank transfer prior to each service.
Upon booking confirmation, you must provide a complete list (names and surnames) of all members accompanying you on your tour. Local authorities require this for all tours, and failure to provide such a list may result in the cancellation of your tour.
Should you not attend your service appointment and cancel at the last minute, we reserve the right to withhold your deposit as a no-show fee.
In cases where this might occur for reasons out of the client's control, such as last-minute flight cancellations, you are entitled to a full refund of your deposit. There is no cancellation fee and a 100% refund of the paid amount if you cancel your reservation at least 21 Days before your service date. If the cancellation of your tour is less than 21 Days before your starting service date, there will be a 65% refund, and seven days before the service date, there will be no refund. Should you fail to make your appointment for reasons beyond your control related to the operation of your airline or cruise ship, such as strikes, prevailing weather conditions, mechanical failures, etc., you will still be refunded 100% of the paid amount. 
In any case of cancellation, third-party providers, such as credit card companies, PayPal, etc., may demand a surcharge between 2% and 5% that the customer may have to pay.
Our Company reserves the right to cancel your booking at any time when reasons beyond the control of our suppliers, such as strikes, prevailing weather conditions, mechanical failures, etc., occur.
In such a case, you will be immediately notified via the email address you used when making your reservation, and your payment will be refunded 100%. After your reservation is confirmed, you will receive a confirmation email containing the details of your reservation.

Operational days: All year round.
Price includes:
Transportation by private car as per itinerary. You will choose from our fleet of cars according to availability and your needs.
English-speaking tour leader/driver
Transfer to and from the Hotel, all tolls, fuel, and parking fees.
(Luggage): Mercedes Sedan (1-3 persons)
max luggage: 3 pieces with the following maximum dimensions: height 63,5cm/25 inches, width 45cm/18 inches, depth 28cm/11 inches or two larger pieces
Mercedes Minivan: 1 piece of luggage (up to above dimensions) plus one carry-on (not exceeding 3 kilos) per person.
IMPORTANT: You must provide us with your party's exact luggage description for every requested transfer service.

Price does not include:
Entrance fees at archaeological sites and museums, meals, personal expenses, Guides, etc.
(For services between 23:30 and 06:30, there will be a 20% surcharge). 
All our tour leaders/drivers are professional, English-speaking, experienced, and knowledgeable about the sites and places that you are going to visit.
They can also provide you with general information for every site and place you are going to visit, but they are not licensed tour guides to accompany you to Archaeological sites and Museums. For this, you may choose to hire a licensed Tour Guide that you can book in advance, either to accompany you throughout your entire trip or local Tour Guides, again booked in advance, for the places of your choice.
Please note that if you choose the service of a licensed guide for the full duration of your tour, they will need to be in the car full time; thus, an additional seat in the vehicle will be required.
All official guides are freelance professionals by law hired by the operator on your behalf.
A full-day tour with a licensed guide takes 8 hours, and a half-day tour takes 5 hours.

Pick up and Drop off: Our driver will pick you up and drop you off at your Hotel or residence. If your tour starts upon your arrival at the Athens airport or the Port of Piraeus, our representative will be waiting for you with a sign with your name written on it to pick you up.

Faq

How will I know that my reservation is confirmed?

You will receive a confirmation e-mail containing the details of your reservation after it is confirmed.


Will the driver I hired be waiting for me? How will he recognize me?

At your arrival point (airport arrivals, ship exit, train station, etc.), a driver will wait for you with a sign and your name clearly written. The driver will always have your mobile phone number so that he can contact you should any irregular circumstances arise. This is one reason we ask for personal information during the reservation.

I want to select a destination that is not listed on your website. Is this possible?

Certainly, send us an e-mail containing the destination you are interested in, and we will contact you as soon as possible with information regarding the cost and details.

Can I make a reservation for a car that I can lease continuously for as many days as I need?

Indeed, you can lease one of our cars with a driver for as many days as you wish. Send us an e-mail containing the reservation details you are interested in.

I need a car in a few hours, can I make a reservation?

Yes, but instead of e-mail, you must send us a text message or make a direct call. For e-mail confirmation, we might need up to 8-12 hours, depending on your country (time difference).

I have reserved my transportation. Is there anything else I should do?

No, absolutely nothing. You have received the confirmation email, which contains the route, your name, and all the details regarding your reservation. Simply keep a printout of the email with you, as the driver may request.

What if my plane, train, or ship is delayed?

There is no reason to worry. No matter the delay, the driver will wait with no additional charge. As long as you have correctly informed us of your travel details, we receive online information from airports, ports, and train stations, specifically for this reason. 

There are five of us. Can we use one car?

Unfortunately, all Greek-legal cars can transport up to 4 people. You will need a second car if there are five passengers or more. We can also provide you with a minivan, minibus, or larger-capacity vehicle upon your request. In such a case, you should state so in your reservation.

I would also like to book my return. Is it possible?

Yes, it's no problem as long as you inform us with a new reservation or text message at least 24 hours before.

What is the difference between a licensed guide and a driver guide?

A driver cannot enter the archaeological sites or museums with you. Only licensed tour guides accredited by the Ministry of Culture can provide their services inside them. This is an extra service that we can arrange for you!
