CANCELATION POLICY & GENERAL INFORMATION

www.privatetoursgreece.com represents a legally purchased and maintained domain name, selected for the purpose of describing the services offered in these pages. In no case should this domain name be misconstrued as being the registered name of a company or agency, Greek or International.
All services offered here are provided by established companies and enterprises registered in Greece and the EU, operating in full compliance with local and European governing legislation. Services, as well as all texts and information contained here, remain the property of their rightful owner/s and provider/s and all their affiliate/agent companies.
Passengers are at all times protected by public liability transportation insurance mandatory in Greece for all licensed transportation companies.
Please be aware that during your participation in tours and transfer services certain risks and dangers may arise beyond our control. We will not be liable regarding any accident or injury sustained by the client by any third party in whichever way this may be caused.
For this reason, we recommend all the clients to be adequately insured before travelling abroad. The latter is usually a prerequisite for most tour operators, who reserve the right to deny travel when proof of insurance cannot be provided.
(If interested, we can provide you with information in cooperation with the largest insurance companies in Greece).
Clients are responsible for having or contracting their own personal insurance policy. We will not be liable for damage, loss or other irregularity occurred to personal items clients decide to carry during the tour. Clients are responsible for choosing a trip that suits their abilities, fitness level and state mental health. It is good for us to know physical or other limitations by email before the service booking.
Please first send us your request with all the specifics required in order to send you suggestions and prices. If you have any special requests or preferences please also mention them.
The reason that you will not find final or fixed prices displayed for the tours we offer, is because prices vary according to group size, type of vehicle, season, type of accommodation etc.
You can book any Tour as it is suggested on our site or customise one to suit your needs with the assistance of our experienced tour operators.
We require a 35% deposit from our customers in order to secure their reservation. This deposit is paid via PayPal, Credit Card or Bank Transfer. Balance is payable cash in euros or through Bank transfer prior to each service.
Upon booking confirmation, you must provide a full list (names & surnames) for all members accompanying you on your tour. This is required by local authorities for all tours and failure to provide such a list may result in the cancellation of your tour.
Should you not show up for your service appointment and/or cancel at the last minute, we reserve the right to withhold your deposit as a no-show fee.
In cases where this might occur for reasons out of the client’s control, such as last-minute flight cancellations, you are entitled to a full refund of your deposit.
There is no cancellation fee and a 100% refund of the paid amount, if you cancel your reservation at least 21 Days prior to your service date. If the cancellation of your tour is less than 21 Days of your starting service date , there will be a 65% refund and 7 days prior to the service date there will be no refund. Should you, however, fail to make your appointment, for reasons beyond your control, related to the operation of your airline or cruise ship, such as strikes, prevailing weather conditions, mechanical failures, etc. you will still be refunded 100% of the paid amount.
In any case of cancellation, it is possible that third-party providers, such as credit card companies, PayPal, etc. may demand a surcharge between 2% to 5% that may have to be paid by the customer.
Our Company reserves the right to cancel your booking at any time when reasons beyond the control of our suppliers, such as strikes, prevailing weather conditions, mechanical failures, etc. occur.
In such a case you shall be immediately notified via the email address you used when making your reservation and your payment will be refunded 100%.
You will receive a confirmation e-mail, which will contain the details of your reservation after it is confirmed.

Operational days: All-year-round.
Price include:
Transportation by private car as per itinerary. According to the availability and your needs you will choose from our fleet of cars.
English speaking tour leader/driver
Transfer to and from the Hotel, all tolls, fuel, and parking fees.
(Luggage): Mercedes Sedan (1-3 persons)
max luggage: 3 pieces with the following maximum dimensions: height 63,5cm/25 inches, width 45cm/18 inches, depth 28cm/11 inches or 2 larger pieces
Mercedes Minivan 1 piece of luggage (up to above dimensions) plus 1 carry-on (not exceeding 3 kilos) per person.
IMPORTANT: For each and every requested transfer service, you are required to inform us of the exact luggage description of your party.

Price does not include:
Entrance fees at archaeological sites and museums, meals, personal expenses, Guides etc.
(For services between 23:30 – 06:30 there will be a 20% surcharge).
All our tour leaders/drivers are professional and English speaking. They are experienced and have a good knowledge of the sites and places that you are going to visit.
They can also provide you with general information for every site and place you are going to visit but they are not licensed tour guides to accompany you in the Archaeological sites and Museums. For this, you may choose to hire a licensed Tour Guide that you can book in advance, either to accompany you through out your entire trip or local Tour Guides again booked in advance for the places of your choice.
Please note that, if you choose the service of a licensed guide for the full time of your tour they will need to be in the car full time, thus, an additional seat in the vehicle will be required.
All official guides are freelance professionals by law, who are hired by the operator on your behalf.
Full day tour duration with a licensed guide is 8 hours and a half-day tour duration with a licensed guide is 5 hours.

Pick up and Drop off: Our driver will pick you up and drop you off at your Hotel or place of residence. If your tour starts upon your arrival at the Athens airport or the Port of Piraeus, our representative will be waiting for you with a sign and your name written on it to pick you up.

How will I know that my reservation is confirmed?

You will receive a confirmation e-mail, which will contain the details of your reservation after it is confirmed.


Will the driver I hired be waiting for me ? How will he recognise me ?

At your arrival point (airport arrivals, ship exit, train station etc.) there will be a driver waiting for you with a sign and your name clearly written. Also, the driver will always have your mobile phone number so that he can contact you should any irregular circumstances arise. This is one reason why we ask for some personal information during the reservation.

I want to select a destination that is not listed on your website. Is this possible ?

Certainly. Simply send us an e-mail containing the destination you are interested in and we will contact you as soon as possible with information regarding the cost and details.

Can I make a reservation where I lease a car for as many days as I need continuously ?

Certainly. You can lease one of our cars with a driver for as many days as you wish. Simply send us an e-mail containing the details of the reservation you are interested in.

I need a car in a few hours, can I make a reservation ?

Yes, but instead of e-mail you must send us a text message or make a direct call. For e-mail confirmation, we might need up to 8-12 hours depending on your country (time difference).

I have reserved my transportation. Is there anything else I should do ?

No, Absolutely nothing. You have received the confirmation e-mail that was sent to you, which contains the route, your name and all the details regarding your reservation. Simply keep the printout of the email with you as it may be requested by the driver.

What if my plane, train or ship is delayed ?

There is no reason to worry. No matter the delay, the driver will wait with no additional charge. As long as you have correctly informed us with your travel details, we receive on-line information from airports, ports and train stations, specifically for this reason.

There are five of us. Can we use one car ?

Unfortunately, all Greek legal cars can transport up to 4 people. If there are 5 passengers or more, you will need a second car. We can also provide you with a minivan, minibus or larger capacity vehicle upon your request. In such case, you should state so in your reservation.

I would also like to book my return. Is it possible ?

Yes, there is no problem as far as you inform us with a new reservation or text message at least 24 hours prior.

What is the difference between a licensed guide and a driver guide ?

A driver cannot enter with you to the archaeological sites or museums. Only licensed tour guides, who are accredited with the Ministry of Culture, can provide their services inside the archaeological sites and museums. This is an extra service that we can arrange one for you!
