One such tour could focus on the life and teachings of the Apostle Paul, taking you to significant locations in Greece following his footsteps. Starting in Athens, you can visit the iconic Acropolis, where Paul famously delivered his speech on the Areopagus to spread his message. Continuing to Corinth, you'll have the chance to see the ruins of the ancient agora, where Paul preached to the city's Jewish community from the Bema. Next, the tour could take you to Veroia, a city mentioned in the Bible where Paul preached and established a Christian community. You can visit the Church of the Resurrection, believed to be built on the synagogue site where Paul preached. Moving on to Kavala, you'll discover the ancient city of Neapolis, where Paul first set foot on European soil. You can explore the Roman Aqueduct and the Byzantine Castle, which offer breathtaking views of the city and the Aegean Sea. The tour could then take you to Philippi. In this essential Roman colony, Paul established one of his earliest Christian communities. At Philippi, you can visit the archaeological site and the remains of the ancient theater, the forum, and the prison where the Romans held Paul and Silas. Finally, the tour could conclude with a visit to the stunning monasteries of Meteora. These towering rock formations, on which many monasteries were built about 600 hundred years ago, offer a serene and spiritual atmosphere and incredible views. By embarking on religion and heritage tours focusing on the Apostle Paul, you'll deepen your understanding of his life and teachings and gain a greater appreciation for these remarkable destinations' historical and cultural significance.

RELIGION & HERITAGE Tour TO ANCIENT CORINTH
/ HALF DAY 5-6 HOURS
HIGHLIGHTS
• Archaeological site of Ancient Corinth.
• Museum / Ancient Agora.
• Kechries Port.
ITINERARY
HALF DAY: ATHENS – CORINTH - ATHENS (5 -6 HOURS)
Our driver will pick you up from your hotel, and we'll start your private tour by moving west out of Athens and following the coastal road to Corinth.
The first stop will be the Isthmus of Corinth, where the Canal connecting the Saronic with the Corinthian Gulf will be seen.
Very Impressive engineering at the end of the 19th century when the Canal was constructed, and it is 6,2 km long, 80 m high, and 25 m wide.
Periandros first attempted to open a canal there in the 6th century BC. Later, Roman Emperor Nero started the excavations again—an expensive project abandoned soon after his death.
From the 6th century BC, a paved road called Diolkos was built following the landscape between the two gulfs from side to side so they could pull the ships over the land, avoiding the dangerous and long way around the Peloponnese.
The next stop will be at the Archaeological Site of Ancient Corinth, where we will visit the Museum and the Ancient Agora.
At the Ancient Agora, we will see the Altar of the Apostle Paul, where he stood to address the Jews and residents of Ancient Corinth to convert them to Christianity.
On the way back to Athens, not far from Corinth, we'll visit the Ancient Port of Kechries, one of the two ports that used to serve the city and from which the Apostle Paul started his trip back to the Middle East.
