DAY 1: ATHENS – CORINTH CANAL – EPIDAURUS - NAFPLIO
Our driver will pick you up from your hotel, and we will start your Private Tour by moving west out of Athens, following the coastal road to Corinth.
The first stop will be at the Isthmus of Corinth to see the Canal connecting the Saronic with the Corinthian Gulf.
Very Impressive engineering at the end of the 19th century when the Canal was constructed, and it is 6,2 km long, 80 m high, and 25 m wide.
Periandros first attempted to open a canal there in the 6th century BC. Later, Roman Emperor Nero started the excavations again—an expensive project abandoned soon after his death.
From the 6th century BC, a paved road called Diolkos was built following the landscape between the two gulfs from side to side so they could pull the ships over the land, avoiding the dangerous and long way around the Peloponnese.
The next stop will be at the Archaeological Site of Epidaurus, where you will visit the Museum, the famous Theatre with its incredible acoustic, and the archaeological site of Asclepιeion, an ancient hospital named after the god of medicine Asclepius.
The next stop will be the city of Nafplio, the first Capital of Modern Greece for a few years after Greece gained independence from the Ottoman Empire.
We can have lunch in the old part of the Town and visit the tourist area on the narrow streets of this traditional part of Nafplio. Staying overnight in Nafplio.
DAY 2: NAFPLIO – MYCENAE – ANCIENT OLYMPIA
The next day, we can visit the Palamidi Castle before we drive to the Archaeological site of Mycenae, where we will visit the Palace of Agamemnon, the Archaeological Museum, and the Treasure of Atreus. The next stop will be the village of Olympia. Stay overnight in Olympia.
DAY 3: ANCIENT OLYMPIA - ZAKYNTHOS
The next day, we will visit the archaeological site, the stadium where the Olympic Games used to take place, and the two museums of the site, the Archaeological, and the Olympic Museum. We can also visit the Technological Museum of Archimedes in the village of Olympia. After, we can have lunch in Olympia and later drive to the Port of Kyllini, from where we will take the afternoon Ferry to the island of Zakynthos. There we will stay for the next two nights.
DAY 4: ZAKYNTHOS
The following day we can tour the island by visiting the Blue Caves and the famous Shipwreck and later after we have lunch, we can go to the Gulf of Laganas and maybe swim with the sea turtles, or we can take a tourist boat and take a round trip of Zakynthos. Upon arrival on the island, you book your choice of activity at the port.
DAY 5: ZAKYNTHOS - DELPHI
The next day, early morning, we'll take the Ferry back to Kyllini, travel towards Patra, and drive over the suspended bridge of Rio, the longest in Europe (3,200 m). We'll cross to Mainland Greece and have a short stop at the picturesque city of Nafpaktos before we carry on the coastal road of the Corinthian Gulf, one of the most beautiful and scenic roads in the World, with a final stop at the village of Delphi. Stay overnight in Delphi.
DAY 6: DELPHI – ARACHOVA - METEORA
The following day, the first stop will be at the Archaeological site of Delphi, which includes the Temple of Apollo, the most famous Oracle of the Ancient World for more than 16 centuries, the Theater, the Stadium that hosted the athletic events of Pythia, the Holy fountain of Castalia and the Archaeological Museum. Delphi has been on the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites since 1987.
After you visit the site, you can have a traditional lunch at the village of Delphi, and later, we'll drive to the picturesque Arachova for a quick stop before we cross the Holy mountain of Parnassus towards Meteora, a place uniquely sculptured by nature. We'll stay overnight in the Town of Kalambaka, nestled beneath the mountain, and view the spectacular sight of the rocky mountain lit by night. Stay overnight in Kalambaka.
DAY 7: METEORA – THERMOPYLAE - ATHENS
After breakfast, we will visit a few monasteries that perch atop the magnificent rocks, reaching up to 600 m.
UNESCO has characterized the monasteries of Meteora as a unique phenomenon of cultural heritage and included them in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 1988. After our visit, we can have lunch in the Town of Kalambaka and then return to Athens with a short stop at the memorial of the battlefield of Thermopylae and the monument of the Spartan King Leonidas, who fought with his 300 men and the 700 Thespians of Demophilos, against hundreds of thousands of Persians and all the Greeks were killed. In the late afternoon, we will arrive back in Athens.

Stay overnight in Sparta.
DAY 3: SPARTA – CAVES OF DIROS – ANCIENT OLYMPIA
The next day, we will drive south to the Mani region and visit one of the most beautiful Caves in Greece, the Cave of Diros. The visit is by boat for the first 1200m and the last 300m on foot, the cave's extent being about 14km.
The next stop will be the coastal village of Stupa, where we can have lunch next to the sea. After lunch, we will drive to Kalamata, and after a quick stop, we will go to the village of Olympia. Stay overnight in Olympia.

The following day, we will visit the Archaeological site of Bassae, the Temple of Epikourios Apollon, also called the Second Parthenon.
In this bare, rocky landscape, 1131 meters above sea level, the people of Phigaleia founded a sanctuary in honor of Apollo. A sacred road connected the sanctuary with the city, nearly thirteen kilometers. The sanctuary was dominated by one of the most imposing monuments of ancient Greece: the temple of Apollo Epikourios, whose cult was established in the late eighth-early-seventh century BC. The next stop will be the village of Olympia. Stay overnight in Olympia.

Leaving the winery and the city of Patra behind us, we'll drive over the suspended bridge of Rio, the longest in Europe (3,200 m), and cross to Mainland Greece, then travel North until the beautiful city of Ioannina. Stay overnight in Ioannina.
DAY 4: IOANNINA – ZAGOROCHORIA – VIKOS GORGE - METEORA
The following day, our first stop will be at the Gorge of Vikos (the deepest Gorge in the world in analogy with its length) and a short drive to the picturesque villages of the Zagori region with beautiful arch bridges.
Then, we'll drive back to Ioannina to visit the Cave of Perama, and our final stop will be Kalambaka, a town nested beneath the magnificent Rocks of Meteora. Stay overnight in Kalambaka.
DAY 5: METEORA – VERGINA – VEROIA - THESSALONIKI
The following morning, we will visit a few monasteries that perch atop the magnificent rocks, reaching up to 600 m. UNESCO has characterized the monasteries of Meteora as a unique phenomenon of cultural heritage and included them in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 1988.
After this visit, you can have lunch in the Town of Kalambaka, and later, we'll see behind the rock of Meteora and will move north for your next visit to Aigai, the Archaeological site of Vergina with the Palace and the Tomb of King Philippe.
Our next stop will be the city of Veroia, with a short stop at the Altar of Saint Paul before we move towards Thessaloniki, where we will stay overnight. After you check in to your hotel, we will make a city tour of Thessaloniki.
DAY 6: THESSALONIKI – DION – THERMOPYLAE - DELPHI
The next day, we will leave Thessaloniki to visit the Archaeological site of Dion and the Archaeological Museum at the foot of Mount Olympus.
